Power Factor from Watts and VARs

Power factor is a number (less than or equal to 1.0) which represents the ratio of real power (Watts) to reactive power (VARs) in an AC electrical system as represented in the diagram below:

Unity power factor (a power factor of 1.0) ids where the current and voltage are completely in phase, i.e. there is no reactive component.

Make sure you enter either watts in Watts and VARs in VARs, or  watts in kW and VARs in kVARs!
